The Project Manager will be well versed in design, development, production, installation, and test & evaluation of large or small computer systems. This position is expected to have experience as a manager of an Enterprise Data Center. This position will join a growing team of Engineers and work in a collaborative multi-functional team environment. Knowledge of DoD procurement policies and procedures strongly desired. HDI and ITIL certifications strongly desired.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Management of system development and contracts support
- Organize, direct and coordinate planning and production of all contract support activities
- Formulate and review project feasibility studies, project costs, interpret policies, and identify goals to project teams
- Continually develop understanding of organizational policies and procedures, DoD / DoN Life Cycle Management (LCM), and documentation standards
- Work with infrastructure team members to develop operational policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines based on best practices and compliance requirements
- Participate in the development and maintenance of system documentation lifecycle
Required/Desired Skills:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or Mathematics required
- HDI and ITIL certifications strongly desired
- 10+ years of direct work experience with information systems design and/or management required
- Eight (8) years of direct work experience, to include: design, development, production,
- installation, and test & evaluation of large or small computer systems required
- Four (4) years as manager of an Enterprise Data Center, to include: supervising project personnel, scheduling work, writing proposals and preparing bids, and equipment and material logistics control
- Knowledge of DoD procurement policies and procedures
- Ability to work cooperatively in a multi-functional team environment (team player)
- Ability to collaborate with awareness and responsiveness to customer needs
- Commitment to continuous development and improvement
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
Other requirements:
- Must be able to support 24/7 operations and be 8570 compliant before hire date
- A strong sense of urgency including self-governance on task priority
- Must meet the requirements to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
