Weekly Working Hours: 40

  • Under general managerial guidance: Analyzes and files timely Reports of Financial Elder/Adult Abuse & SARs. Acts as liaison with branch personnel and outside law enforcement agencies. Implements and maintains effective security, policies, procedures and investigations to meet reporting requirements. Provides technical, professional and analytical support to various departments of bank services and branches.
  • Functions as a liaison for branch personnel and outside law enforcement agencies and legal counsel for matters related to operational losses and security policies and procedures. Works with Senior Investigator & Manager to prepare documents for litigation.
  • Assists with investigations for both external and internal losses, compiles investigative data and produces departmental reports for bank management.
  • Reviews and processes operational loss charge-offs and files SARS as warranted
  • Initiates and monitors activities to recover losses where possible to include referring cases to external enforcement and collection agencies and/or law firms.
  • Reviews and monitors the Verafin system for fraudulent deposit activity and financial elder abuse.
  • Responds to departmental and branch inquiries regarding safety and security policies and procedures and their alarm systems.
  • Assists management in branch emergencies & robberies.
Requirements

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS NEEDED TO PERFORM JOB

FUNCTIONS:

Excellent analytical, organizational, communications and interpersonal skills are required. Two –five years of branch banking experience or loss investigation experience required, where the incumbent has gained a working knowledge of various aspects of bank operations, bank security, including investigations, law enforcement procedures and methods. Incumbent must possess strong PC and math skills, and a working knowledge of TS, Lotus, Excel spreadsheets and word processing software. Prioritize multiple demands while meeting strict projects deadlines.
