Instructors will be responsible for teaching private and semi-private swim lessons to youth (ages 18 months+) and potentially adults, which includes instructing swimming techniques and water safety skills for children ages 3-12. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Offer private and semi-private lessons to youth ages 18 months and up

· Must provide exemplary customer service

· Must be able to commit in weekly increments

· Communicate daily with parents on the progress of their children

· Assist Swim Professional with other aquatics-related duties as requested

· Must follow Swim Academy handbook 

· Effectively communicate with children and parents to help participants progress and develop swim skills

· Responsible for maintaining pool equipment

· Responsible for providing a safe, clean environment for swimmers

· Ensure payments are acquired at time service is rendered

· Attend departmental and company-wide meetings and events

· Handle, communicate, and document any behavioral issues or medical instances

·Participate in marketing promotions 

· Must have knowledge of the basic strokes of swimming (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly)

· Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs

· Must be 18 or turning 18 before the end of summer (August)

· Previous swim instructor experience 

· WSI and Lifeguard certification preferred 

· Must be CPR/First Aid certified
