We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Prep Cook. As a Prep Cook you are responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our kitchen by preparing ingredients and assisting with food preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to standardized recipes and specifications.
- Assist with the cleaning, peeling, and chopping of vegetables and fruits
- Measure and mix ingredients for various recipes.
- Assist with the marinating, seasoning, and seasoning of meats and seafood.
- Prepare sauces, dressings, and other condiments.
- Assist with the baking and cooking of bread, pastries, and other baked goods.
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Assist with the organization and stocking of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas including closing duties as assigned.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste and ensure cost efficiency.
- Follow all sanitation and hygiene regulations to maintain food safety standards
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in ingredient preparation.
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other kitchen staff members.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Continuously bend, reach, twist and use your hands and arms.
• Able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
