JOB SUMMARY: To prepare and serve food products as directed by the Executive Chef and production recipes, maintain proper food handling and storage procedures and maintain all sanitation and safety standards.
SHIFT: 11 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

· Prepare food products in compliance with recipes and direction from the Executive Chef.
· Serve and garnish food products as directed on production records. Alert Chef to any edits on the recipe or inventory changes.
· Demonstrates skill in both hot and cold food production and a willingness to learn and develop culinary skill.
· Demonstrates a commitment to quality by producing food in a timely manner and serving at the proper temperature. Maintain good judgement for food quality.
· Maintain and operate various types of equipment and utensils in safe and sanitary fashion.
· Works as a team member to get meals done on time and support co-workers when needed. Knowledge of proper service techniques and portion size with a focus on plate presentation.
· The ability to organize the station to efficiently produce orders for service.
· Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diet for Healthcare Unit.
· Follow procedures for safe food handling and storage.
· Maintain standards of sanitation, daily and in compliance with assigned sanitation schedule
· Comply with standards of personal hygiene.
· Participates in meal service.
· All other duties as assigned.
· Comply with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all Plymouth Place policies and procedures.
· Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.
Attends in-service and education programs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· Experience with Sanitation and Food Safety.
· Knowledge with recipes and using current measurements and serving size.
· Quality control of plating and service.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
· Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, families, and employees.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- ServSafe or equivalent
- Sanitation certification
- 3-5 years cooking experience
