As a Financial Analyst, you will work closely with the Controller and CFO to manage various financial aspects, including grant revenue, budgeting, and financial reporting. Your responsibilities will involve preparing detailed variance analysis reports, collaborating with Senior Leaders to review department financials, and managing all financial reporting and claims for grant revenue.


You will oversee the financial aspects of grant revenue, collaborating with the Grants Administrator to ensure accurate calculation and submission of grant claims. Additionally, you will track grant revenue spend and maintain reports to track restricted grant revenue, providing regular updates to the Controller/CFO and Senior Leadership.


Preparing financial information related to grants, including budgets for grant applications and grant spend for reports, will be part of your role. You will also file annual recertification paperwork for grant awards and assist in the annual financial audit by providing required documents for grant revenue.


Analyzing monthly financial statements for accuracy and trends, you will prepare detailed analyses for distribution to Senior Leadership, the Executive Team, the Finance Committee, and the Board. Furthermore, you will collaborate with Senior Leaders to prepare projections of financials for strategic decision-making.

By completing department-level analyses and meeting with department leaders to understand financial direction, you will make recommendations for cost savings or increased revenue potential based on your financial review and discussions with senior leaders.


Managing the annual budget process in collaboration with the Controller, you will ensure that Senior Leaders have the information and tools needed to prepare their budgets. Additionally, you will maintain budgeting software, provide training as needed, and consolidate budgets to prepare the organization-wide budget. Your analytical skills and strategic insights will contribute to the financial health and decision-making of the organization.

Requirements

Preferred Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 3 years experience in an Accounting or Financial role.
  • Experience in managing grant revenue or in non-profit accounting is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
  • Ability to develop and deliver accurate data for review or presentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.
