Organically Grown Company (OGC), Northwest’s largest independent distributor of fresh, organic produce, is hiring Experienced PM Warehouse Order Selectors. If you have experience operating a riding pallet jack and working in a warehouse environment, we want to meet you!

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Pick orders from the warehouse, build pallets, prepare products for delivery, and load onto our trucks.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Maintain GMP and GFSI (food safety) standards.
  • Spend a lot of time on your feet in a refrigerated setting.
  • Perform other duties as requested.


Requirements
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an order-selector/ warehouser picker in a produce or related environment.
  • Minimum 1 year experience using riding pallet jacks and able to demonstrate safe & proficient riding technique.
  • Minimum 1 year experience using Vocollect headsets or RF scan-guns.
  • Able to safely lift 30-50 pounds in a refrigerated environment.
  • Ability to work on a team and foster a culture of belonging.
  • Ability to learn new computer software.
  • Basic math skills.

It’s helpful if you bring:

  • Previous work experience with perishable products, familiarity with food safety standards.
  • Love or knowledge about organic produce.
  • Computer savvy.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to regularly perform physical tasks including but not limited to lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, and reaching. Regular heavy lifting up to 50 lbs is required during approximately 15% of scheduled work time. Continuous mental and/or visual attention requires constant alertness to monitor warehouse processes and/or identify problems. The work environment will regularly be cold and may be exposed to dust, fumes, dirt, noise, and water. Ability to meet the above description of position with or without reasonable accommodation.

$18.00 - $19.00 with 1.25 shift differential
