Description

 Holy Redeemer Catholic School is seeking a Middle School Florida Certified English/Language Arts Teacher for the 2024-2025 Academic school year. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a valid Florida Educators certification, be self-motivated and energetic. ESE & ESOL certified a plus. HRCS is seeking applicants with knowledge of State Standards, technology integration, and standard-based instruction. Experience in evaluating, documenting, and communicating individual student growth, differentiation strategies, classroom management and willingness to participate in professional development opportunities, a plus. Applicants must be comfortable in a Catholic faith-based setting with a dedication to the Holy Redeemer Catholic School mission.

  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Organize and direct lessons and activities related to the standards.
  • Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines.
  • Provide grade-appropriate instructional program of engaging and interactive activities/lessons for Middle School.
  • Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of Holy Redeemer Catholic School and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
  • Be responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management.
  • Assess and document student progress.
  • Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students.
  • Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration.
  • Integrate technology effectively into the classroom.
Requirements

  Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from an Accredited College or University.
  • Current Florida Teaching Certificate.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in a Catholic school setting is preferred.
  • Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings.
  • Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church.
  • Their public behavior must not violate the faith, morals or laws of the Church or the policies of the diocese.
