Description
Plan, direct, and coordinate a wide variety of architectural millwork projects from the start to finish.
Essential Functions
- Read and analyze architectural drawings.
- Manage the engineering and review of shop drawings.
- Oversee the project scheduling.
- Direct procurement of materials and subcontracts.
- Release projects to production and monitor projects throughout the production process.
- Work closely with contractors, architects, and owners to assure satisfaction of all parties involved.
- Manage all aspects of contracts, both financial and obligatory, from original contract to closeout documents.
Requirements
Skills/Abilities
- Ability to read architectural drawings
- Knowledge of construction/woodworking materials and methods
- Knowledge of Bluebeam software is a plus
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Teams
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Effective organizational skills to manage a variety of tasks
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum two years of experience in construction or woodworking background required
- Combination of education and experience
Physical Requirements
- Regularly requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasionally requires visits to a local jobsite or customer office.
- Occasionally requires the use of safety equipment to be worn per the job site requirements such as safety glasses, safety vests, hard hats and/or appropriate footwear.
