MILO Live has an in-house HVAC company as part of our service which promotes our extensive background in metal fabrication, HVAC design and installation. Milo Live has the skills, experience, and background to design and build custom, convenient products to meet all of our customer’s needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installs power supply wiring and conduit for module ranges.
- Connects power supply to machines and building equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
- Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, MCC circuits, variable frequency drives and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Review electrical projects for compliance to code (NEC) and MMD specifications and Safety Policies
- Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors, positions sensing devices, printed circuit boards, etc.
- Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in the ranges.
- Responsible for maintaining tools and equipment in good operating condition and for keeping work area neat, clean, and orderly.
- Plans daily and weekly workload for all employees working on their team. Planning to be in conjunction with weekly meeting with shop foreman and production supervisor. Plans should be aligned to meet company overall delivery goals and timing.
- Administers daily work plans, tasks, and materials to all people on their team. Follows up at end of each day (minimum) to confirm people are achieving goals and quality standards as instructed.
- Creates job material lists for each project and orders all materials.
- Ensures materials and planning is far enough out to maintain efficiency in tasking.
- Ensures team knows what projects they are working and that they are clocking in and out of those jobs properly.
- Takes responsibility for performance of each member of their team.
- Reports back to Shop Foreman all performance goal achievements daily. This is to ensure overall team goals are being met. If not, adjustments can be made from this communication and process.
Qualifications:
- Will be required to take a Knowledge Test prior to interview
- MUST PASS a preplacement drug screening test
- Must possess a HS Diploma or GED
- GMAW, SMAW, FCAW, FCAW (Steel) in flat horizontal & vertical
- Must be certified and have knowledge of MIG welding/1-inch/ all positions
- Must have 3-5 years of experience in the electrical field Have the ability to read project plans, interpret weld symbols, and read a measuring tape
- Must have set-up experience
- Must have experience with the following machines: plasma cutters, MIG welder, oxy-fuel cutting torch and various grinders
- Must be able to fluently read, write and speak English
- Must be willing to learn other trades and have a desire to learn new skills
- Willing to travel to client sites for installation and possessing a passport is preferred
