Description

Diagnose and repair operational problems with industrial air compressors, vacuum and Compressed Air systems and accessories including installations, start-ups, repairs, selling service and service contracts.

The employee will have a strong understanding of Mechanical Equipment Applications, Compressed Air and Vacuum systems.


Education/Experience: High school diploma and minimum of two years related experience and/or training or equivalent of education and experience. Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls and Direct Digital Controls, Air Audits, Leak detection, vibration analysis, laser alignment, efficiency testing, refrigeration systems, and electrical is preferred.


Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient and have basic  knowledge of computers and MS Office Suite. Diagnostic and Control software experience is required.


Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver’s License, Apprentice or Journeyman License, CFC Certification.


Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned: 

· Adhere to all Tate Safety Protocol at all times – “Safety First”

· Conduct business based on Tate Core Values at all times to promote Tate Service Culture and strive for harmony and teamwork with all departments

· Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers

· Attend required vendor training and company sponsored classes

· Maintain truck stock inventory 

· Maintain company vehicle in clean manner (inside and out), drive safely and adhere to all driving laws.

· Maintain a clean driving record

· Maintain regular attendance

· Prepare service tickets for all work performed on a daily basis.

· Assist inside service or sales by identifying and submitting (5) Technician Leads per week 

· Assist with training less experience personnel

· Maintain records concerning time, labor and materials and logs of tasks performed

· On Call 24/7 as scheduled

· Troubleshoot and repair compressed air and vacuum systems

· Perform preventative maintenance 

· Perform system installations

· Perform Laser alignment and Vibration analysis

· Perform Leak Detection and Air Audits

· Equipment and system start-up per Manufacturer

· Maintain vendor software and perform updates and backups as required 

· Download and back up Control files for customer equipment
