Description

Responsibilities:

  • Wash, dry, and fold all hotel linens
  • Make beds
  • Replenish guest room supplies, to include clean towels and washcloths
  • Clean and mop rooms, hallways, restrooms, stairways, and exterior bathrooms
  • Clean rugs, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaner
  • Dust furniture and fixtures
  • Disinfect and deodorize in-room refrigerator and microwave
  • Check plates, bowls, and glassware in cabinets, returning dirty dishes to restaurant and replacing any missing items
  • Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork as needed
  • Wash windows, door panels, and sills
  • Empty wastebaskets
  • Transport trash and waste to dumpster
  • Replenish bathroom supplies
  • Replace light bulbs as needed
  • Report any damages or maintenance issues to General Manager (GM) immediately
  • Communicate low stock items and supplies to GM for reorder
  • Report guests’ items left behind to front desk and turn in to GM
  • Abide by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals
  • Report to work for scheduled shift on time and in uniform, in accordance with company policy
  • Know and comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties
  • Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
  • Perform other related duties as required or requested by the GM


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Able to work shifts on weekends and holidays
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
  • Able to lift, reach, bend, and stoop
  • Able to safely lift and carry up two flights of stairs full laundry baskets and boxes of supplies, weighing up to 20 pounds
  • Hotel experience preferred
