Description
Responsibilities:
- Wash, dry, and fold all hotel linens
- Make beds
- Replenish guest room supplies, to include clean towels and washcloths
- Clean and mop rooms, hallways, restrooms, stairways, and exterior bathrooms
- Clean rugs, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaner
- Dust furniture and fixtures
- Disinfect and deodorize in-room refrigerator and microwave
- Check plates, bowls, and glassware in cabinets, returning dirty dishes to restaurant and replacing any missing items
- Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork as needed
- Wash windows, door panels, and sills
- Empty wastebaskets
- Transport trash and waste to dumpster
- Replenish bathroom supplies
- Replace light bulbs as needed
- Report any damages or maintenance issues to General Manager (GM) immediately
- Communicate low stock items and supplies to GM for reorder
- Report guests’ items left behind to front desk and turn in to GM
- Abide by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals
- Report to work for scheduled shift on time and in uniform, in accordance with company policy
- Know and comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties
- Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
- Perform other related duties as required or requested by the GM
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Able to work shifts on weekends and holidays
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
- Able to lift, reach, bend, and stoop
- Able to safely lift and carry up two flights of stairs full laundry baskets and boxes of supplies, weighing up to 20 pounds
- Hotel experience preferred
