About the Role:

As a member of the Purchasing Team, you will be responsible for the entire procurement life cycle of assigned vehicle component categories such as chassis, interiors, exteriors, or other critical elements. You will leverage your expertise and strategic thinking to develop and execute sourcing plans, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and optimize costs while ensuring quality and timely delivery.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned vehicle components through the entire procurement process, from market research and supplier identification to contract negotiation, order management, and delivery.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify and qualify potential suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and technical capabilities.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve optimal cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Manage supplier relationships, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement.
  • Monitor supplier performance, identify and address potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze market trends and cost fluctuations, providing insights to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and relevant technologies in the EV sector.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and manufacturing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in automotive purchasing.
  • Preferred proven experience in sourcing and managing procurement for vehicle components (such as do we want to add a specific category such as chassis, electrical, interior etc.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and cost optimization techniques is a plus.
  • Experience in the electric vehicle industry is a strong advantage.
