Description

  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspects, tests, dismantles, and makes mechanical and electrical repairs to all types of electrical equipment
  • Interprets all types of drawings and wiring diagrams to determine material or replacement needs and assembly specifications and  methods.
  • Plans, details or working procedure and determines tools and material requirements.
  • Reassembles, tests, and adjusts equipment to obtain proper operating characteristics.
  • Makes all necessary mechanical repairs to equipment being serviced, including the replacement, repair and installation of sleeve and miscellaneous parts
  • Performs work requiring a thorough working knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles, shop techniques, the knowledge of properties of materials and the ability to use the tools of the trade


Requirements

  JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

  • Able to understand types of electrical materials
  • Able to read and understand drawings, charts, orders
  • Able to use electrical equipment
  • Previous experience with electrical, wiring, tools/equipment
  • Qualified candidates are not “helpers” but are certified subject matter experts


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE (ALL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE BULLETS ARE REQUIRED UNLESS NOTED AS “PREFERRED”)

  • High school diploma or equivalent are preferred
  • Able to pass math and tape measurement assessment
  • Journeyman’s card preferred
Salary Description
21.40 to 28.54 per hour
