Description

Phoenix House Florida is a non-profit, substance use treatment facility providing care in the area for nearly 30 years. Our Citra facility offers Adult Residential Services in separate units for men and women, and our Brandon facility offers Adult and Adolescent Services on an outpatient basis. At Phoenix House Florida, we are passionate about healing individuals, families, and communities challenged by substance use disorders and related mental health conditions.


We are seeking a part time Psychiatrist to support our clients.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide psychiatric services, including psychiatric assessments and medication management.
  • Provide office-based opiate detoxification and maintenance services.
  • Respond to client crises and emergencies as needed.
  • Participate in the development and review of policies and procedures.
  • Document developments and important events in accordance with clinical policies for reporting and record keeping.
  • Use Welligent and its components effectively, maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
  • Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and required training to ensure continuum and quality of care.
  • Project a professional image to the public.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ensure client confidentiality in accordance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to develop rapport with substance-abusing populations and families.
  • Ability to apply organizational management skills and maintain self and client discipline.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain required documentation.
  • Ability to comply with internal, local, state and federal regulations and policies.
  • Ability to work and communicate with others.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Graduate from an accredited medical school. 


LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Physician licensed in the state of Florida.
