Description


EOSYS is seeking a talented Engineering Manager passionate about building, developing, and managing an effective Engineering team. The focus of this role is on hiring quality engineering talent, providing active career development and performance management. This role is also responsible for ongoing resource arbitration, ensuring engineers are properly allocated to meet project demands.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for management of career development and performance management activities, ensuring engineers reach their full potential and EOSYS has internal capability to meet delivery demands.
  • Responsible for meeting the talent needs of the engineer group through management of department recruiting activities and focus on employee retention.
  • Participates in the review and vetting of new opportunities to ensure proper capacity to meet demand.
  • Maintains an active pipeline of candidates through professional relationships, sourcing candidates, and partnering with HR on talent acquisition activities.
  • Develops project resource plans that leverage senior engineers, entry level engineers, and coops to maximize career development opportunities and push work to the lowest level capable resource.
  • Develops annual business unit plan that includes recruiting, training, facility, and succession planning for sustainability, that support the overall company business plan.
  • Supports the creation and use of best practices and standards.
  • Supports and participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • Provides oversight for assigned office/facilities, ensuring facilities are well maintained and sufficient for business activities.
Requirements
  • Minimum B.S. degree in engineering and 10 years of experience in the Engineering, Manufacturing, or other technical industry. On the job experience and past success could be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong understanding of all company functions and departments and is considered a company leader.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead teams as well as lead through others.
  • Past success in management, career development, continuous improvement, and quality.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Technical skills necessary to gather relevant data and perform analysis necessary to make data driven decisions.
  • An understanding of EOSYS’s system integration products, processes, and project management.
  • Ability to exemplify EOSYS’s Core Values.
