Job Summary:


The Director of Energy Structuring is expected to know the basic mechanics of the energy market and work to support Priority Power leadership and customers regarding energy pricing, data collection, ad hoc reporting, engagement with utilities, and to communicate effectively with our clients to tie our conclusions back to their own commercial decisions. The ideal candidate will be adept with customer service and communication skills, technically proficient in order to develop sound analysis & research for clients and demonstrate potential for managing the Midland Analyst team. The knowledge base of our team grows from collaboration and shared experience, so regular, reliable attendance, and a willingness to learn is a key part of the role. Essential to success is the ability to sustain positive working relationships with colleagues, adapting to individual and team priorities as they evolve.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Co-manage the Energy Analyst team with the other Director(s). This includes but is not limited to conducting meetings, managing Analyst schedules for workload and PTO/sick days, co-conducting annual performance reviews, and training Analysts on job responsibilities, customer service items & deliverables, and development of necessary skills.
  • Assist with onboarding new customers and management of existing customers, contracts, service deliverables, and relevant documentation in Salesforce.
  • Audit utility invoices and create supporting details & explanations for assigned customers. This includes the ability to understand both monthly and 15-minute interval usage data to check all pricing for accuracy and working with utilities and suppliers directly on behalf of customers to resolve any errors and issues.
  • Prepare competitive Request for Proposals (RFP’s) for electricity and/or gas supply pricing. Distribute to qualified suppliers on behalf of customers and Sales Advisors.
  • Manage these RFP processes for electricity and/or gas supply from beginning to end results and contract(s) being executed.
  • Build energy pricing and cost evaluation templates for customers and Sales Advisors to show results of these RFP process for electricity and/or gas supply.
  • Conduct data analysis & modeling as needed in support of RFPs, customer usage & peak load changes, power factor issues, solar production shape calculations, wholesale block hedges, index price exposure, and budgeting costs.
  • Create & send out reports directly to customers and/or Sales Advisors for the items above.
  • Create summary presentations and work closely with Managing Director and other Directors to meet with customers and produce all customer deliverables in a professional and timely manner.
  • Manage energy data for customer facilities and other pertinent information for assigned customers across company software platforms such as Salesforce, EnergyCAP, and others.
  • Other relevant energy structuring, pricing, data analysis, and reporting requests as needed in support of customers.
Requirements

 Required Job Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two- year college or technical school
  • 5+ years of relevant experience and/or training
  • Proficient in utilizing MS Office suite – Excel, Word, Outlook – and advanced data programs
  • Demonstrated expertise in administrative responsibilities
  • Exceptional typing speed and accuracy
  • Strong command of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • Highly developed organizational skills, with the ability to remain focused on assigned tasks
  • Extensive experience using office equipment, including computers, printers, and scanner

Preferred Job Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree
  • Salesforce proficiency and/or familiarity
  • Mastery of Office 365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, Access)
  • Aptitude for quickly learning and implementing EnergyCap Data Management software
