IOSS Data Center Operations Manager
Description

Circinus is seeking an experienced and proactive Data Center Operations Support Systems Manager / Task Lead to oversee our data center operations and administration services for the Department of Treasury. The Data Center Operations Support Systems Manager / Task Lead will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our data centers, ensuring seamless provisioning and management of installed systems and software environments. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in service delivery.  

  • Lead the Data Center Operations Support Services team, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and shift adjustments to meet service demands.
  • Coordinate with the Asset Management team for accurate asset tracking and consolidation efforts.  
  • Provide tiered support for hardware and software issues, including complex technical problems.
  • Ensure timely resolution of support requests, logging all incidents into the incident management system.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure system resilience and agility.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to practice and refine response procedures for emergency scenarios.
  •  Manage physical infrastructure maintenance and coordinate equipment deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and support system upgrades and migrations.
  • Participate in daily standup briefings, providing updates to government stakeholders and contributing to daily status reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address system performance issues and implement enhancements.
  •  Coordinate with the Change Control Board to manage changes in the environment and ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Support configuration management activities, including software deployments and system upgrades.
Requirements
  • Requires Public Trust clearance
  • Master's Degree or equivalent and Fifteen (15) years of experience.
  • Ten (10) years in supervision of substantial IT/Networking projects, Five (5) years of this experience must have been in supervising large IT/Networking services contracts, including people of various job categories and skills, and must have occurred in the last seven (7) years. Experience in government contracting preferred.
  • Extensive experience in data center operations management, with a strong background in IT support and project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage operational processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with incident management systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and ITIL best practices preferred.
