TSDN Data Center Operations Manager
Description

Circinus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced TSDN Data Center Operations Project Manager to oversee teams responsible for the provisioning, installation, upgrading, and day-to-day management of infrastructure and software environments. The successful candidate will ensure the overall coordination and management of data center operations services, including server platforms, databases, application servers, operating systems, IP-based networks, and remote access services. The TSDN Data Center Operations Manager will develop/update Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with OCIO Service Level Agreements; provide exceptional system usability, availability, and reliability to exceed customer expectations; reduce operating costs through consolidation, virtualization, and capacity planning; maintain accurate reporting and documentation for incident management, change management, and configuration management. Lead the Data Center Operations Support Services team, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to service level agreements.

  • Manage the overall operation of data center contract staff, ensuring adequate reporting, escalations, and staffing levels.
  • Adjust shifts as necessary to accommodate changing call volumes and ensure proper training for staff.
  • Respond to support requests from various sources, including customer-generated emails and dedicated phone lines.
  • Provide answers to commonly asked IT questions and resolution to technical issues of exceptional complexity.
  • Log all support requests into the incident management system and escalate when necessary.
  • Ensure onsite core hours support from 7AM to 6PM and designated on-call response for major incidents.
  • Participate in Daily Standup briefings to provide updates to the government PM and staff.
  • Provide content to the Service Desk for Daily Status Reports (SITREPs) for those meetings.
  • Coordinate with other functional areas for efficient operations and reporting.
  • Provide support for existing IT systems and troubleshoot hardware or software-related issues.
  • Coordinate the remote deployment of applications, patches, or fixes.
  • Record and verify asset information in the asset management system and support data center consolidation efforts.
  • Ensure preparedness for emergency and adverse conditions by implementing response procedures.
  • Support DR/COOP exercises and maintain the DR site for readiness.
Requirements
  • Requires ACTIVE Secret clearance, Top Secret preferred
  • Master's Degree or equivalent and Fifteen (15) years of experience.
  • Ten (10) years in supervision of substantial IT/Networking projects, Five (5) years of this experience must have been in supervising large IT/Networking services contracts, including people of various job categories and skills, and must have occurred in the last seven (7) years. Experience in government contracting preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in Windows server products, Microsoft Active Directory, VMware vCenter, and Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in network management, server hardware deployment, and maintenance.
  • Experience with IT Security practices, disaster recovery planning, and compliance regulations (FISMA, NIST).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, RHCE, or MCSE are desired.
