We are seeking an enthusiastic Line Cook with supervisory/lead experience to join our team at The Cauldron NYC Flatiron, a wizard-themed bar that offers an immersive experience to our customers. As a Line Cook, you will be working as part of a large kitchen team to deliver great quality food with a magical touch!
Seeking an innovative line cook to join our team! In this non-traditional role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills while also contributing to cost management and bringing a fresh perspective to our plating techniques. Having the confidence to work alone, eye for detail and a strong understanding of culinary costs is imperative. We are willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities:
- Sets up assigned stations to prepare for service.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the station throughout service.
- Responsible for proper preparation of food items on assigned station(s).
- Responsible for identifying items prepared for guests with allergies and dietary restrictions.
- Works as a team with other Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, Dishwashers and FOH & BOH Management teams.
- Physical Demands
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally push and/or pull up to 75 pounds. The employee will spend over 4 hours daily standing or walking.
- Inventory management
Required Education and Experience
- 2 years of experience
- High school diploma preferred.
- Minimum one (1) to two (2) prior experience in high volume, fine-casual or fine-dining environments.
- Must have excellent knife skills.
- Must be able to work well under pressure.
- Must be able to efficiently work as a team and assist co-workers when needed.
