Web Development Manager
Description

Join Streetsense’s dynamic and innovative Creative Agency and become an integral part of our Interactive Team. Our team is dedicated to crafting immersive and impactful digital experiences for our clients. As a WordPress Full Stack Developer, you'll contribute your expertise to shaping the online presence of leading brands across various industries. As we aim to expand and propel our web development operation, we're seeking a visionary Website Development Manager to lead this charge.

Overview:

Streetsense is seeking an experienced full-stack (WordPress) website developer to join our Interactive Team and serve as both an in-house website programming resource/expert, as well as consult with external development partners. This person should be highly collaborative, an innovator in the interactive space, an excellent communicator, and have expertise in programming in WordPress and third-party integrations and APIs. This person will lead the growth and expansion of Streetsense website development both with outside partners and in house.

What You'll Do:

  • Website Development: While not responsible for the programming of all websites produced by Streetsense, you will have the opportunity to own key projects. In addition, you will consult with partners on sites not built internally and provide development expertise and quality control. You will also serve as problem-solver and  solution-finder for any problems encountered on websites managed by Streetsense and serve as an emergency resource for fixing issues when necessary.
  • Strategy: Work with interactive and agency leaders to guide the expansion of our web development practice, identifying innovative solutions and technologies to enhance our offerings in the real estate and hospitality sectors.
  • Impact and Innovation: Drive high-impact projects that will not only elevate our agency but also set new benchmarks in the industry.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with key agency leaders, designers, content strategists, product managers, and other interactive team members to incorporate development strategy into our web products, build high-performing sites for our clients, and integrate web development into our broader agency innovation strategy.

What We're Looking For:

  • A strategic thinker with a solid background in full-stack development (specifically in WordPress).
  • Someone who thrives on challenges and is passionate about building a team geared for groundbreaking work in the real estate and hospitality industries.
  • An individual with a passion for identifying and leveraging new technologies and methodologies to push the boundaries of web development.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of inspiring a team and collaborating effectively with senior management, creative leaders, and other agency teams such as content, SEO/performance marketing, and design.
  • A “swiss army knife” resource who is able to flex towards strategy and innovation but also happy to jump in and take care of small programming needs.
Requirements
  • Experience utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and  PHP to develop visually appealing and interactive web pages; implement animation effects using CSS animations, JavaScript libraries like GSAP, or animation frameworks.
  • Ability to program ambitiously designed pages featuring animation, creative grid layouts, and outside-the-box design while adhering to best practices for usability and accessibility.
  • Experience with popular integrations such as HubSpot for marketing automation, Yardi for real estate management, Engrain for interactive property mapping, BDX for home builder solutions, and mapping APIs like Google Maps and Mapbox.
  • Experience with the set up, configuration, and management of hosting environments for WordPress websites using platforms like WPEngine, AWS (Amazon Web Services), GoDaddy, or similar hosting providers.
  • Experience in server management, domain configuration, DNS settings, SSL certificates, and security best practices to ensure smooth website operation. Ability to troubleshoot hosting-related issues and optimize performance for speed and reliability.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical solutions, concepts, and challenges to non-technical stakeholders such as clients, project managers, or creative teams, and translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable language for non-developers.
  • Ability to provide documentation, training material, and support to empower non-developers in managing and updating  website content or utilizing integrated services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and integrations.
  • Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
