Senior Electro-Explosive Device (EED) Engineer

Essential Job Functions:

· Lead Innovation: Drive innovation and shape the future of Electro-Explosive Devices (EEDs) through expert technical guidance and judgment.

· Drive Qualification Programs: Lead new product qualification programs to ensure compliance with industry standards and drive excellence in product development.

· Support Supply Chain Initiatives: Collaborate with supply chain partners to ensure quality and reliability of components, supporting our mission of excellence.

· Process Improvement: Develop core competency for special processes within the EED value stream, implementing process control techniques to minimize variation and drive efficiency.

· Manage Projects: Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and technical requirements.

· Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, inspection, test, contracts, and business development to support project goals and drive success.

· Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.

· 7+ years of defense aerospace industry experience.

· Established record of successful projects.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation with  team members.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, milestone-driven culture and work effectively on multidisciplinary teams.

· Permanent resident of the United States (ITAR restrictions).

· Eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) for all employees of Chemring Energetic Devices.
