Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT) is seeking a Lead Reverse Engineer that will be responsible for the technical leadership during the design and development of hardware and software sanitization solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Operate as the product owner providing the vision and functional goals to the team for all Sanitization-related products.
- Maintains familiarity with the sophisticated threats to client systems and the peculiarities of evolving hardware platforms for purposes of appropriately maturing the Sanitization capability.
- Track and support resolution of all open program problem reports (PPRs) associated with client Sanitization-related products.
- Possess awareness of the different versions of Sanitization-related products planned for future release and in current operation across the client’s company.
- Perform the software engineering tasks necessary to deploy and support testing of client Sanitization-related products.
- Perform as a Senior software developer serving as a technical mentor for members of the associated product/Scrum team.
- Assist in capability assessments and technology investigations associated with Sanitization-related products and their functional requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline with corresponding experience and demonstrated mastery of relevant topics.
- 10+ years of proven experience performing reverse engineering and analysis of hardware and embedded systems, including device firmware.
- 5+ years of proven experience developing object oriented software systems.
- Intermediate knowledge of operating system internals, hardware architectures, and assembly languages.
- Intermediate knowledge of the types of non-volatile storage media and methodologies for data sanitization.
- Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems, file systems, and disk analysis utilities and commands.
- Intermediate knowledge of Python, Java, and C++ development languages.
- Basic knowledge of POSIX shell scripting.
- Intermediate knowledge of disassemblers, decompilers, and debuggers.
- Basic knowledge of network protocol analysis and reverse engineering.
- Ability to effectively and accurately convey status and identify, assess, and communicate risks.
- Demonstrated ability to work within and lead teams.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- U.S. citizenship and Secret clearance eligibility.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree with a focus in computer science or computer engineering.
- 15+ years of proven experience performing reverse engineering and analysis of
- hardware and embedded systems, including device firmware.
- 5+ years of proven experience exploiting hardware and embedded systems,
- including firmware exploitation.
- Expert knowledge of operating system internals, hardware architectures, and
- assembly languages.
- Expert knowledge of Linux operating systems, file systems, and disk analysis utilities and commands.
- Expert knowledge of Python, Java, and C++ development.
- Expert knowledge of POSIX shell scripting.
- Expert knowledge of disassemblers, decompilers, and debuggers.
- Intermediate knowledge of network protocol analysis and reverse engineering.
- Intermediate knowledge of real-time operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of dynamic instrumentation frameworks.
- Intermediate knowledge of software protection mechanisms, including anti-debugging and anti-instrumentation techniques.
