We seek a dynamic and passionate educator to join our middle school Judaic Studies Team.  


This position will start August 19, 2024.


 

In this role, you will:

  • Teach Judaic Studies courses to our middle school students, instilling a passion for the Jewish tradition in these young souls.  This includes planning lessons and assessing student growth in alignment with the given curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to advance the mission of the school.
  • Cultivate warm, authentic, positive relationships with current and prospective students and parents.
  • Serve as a Jewish role model.

You need to be:

  • Aligned with Hillel Day School’s Mission and 7 core Jewish values. 
  • Excited about and experienced with education in the areas of Tanach and rabbinic literary corpus (knowledge of biblical Hebrew is preferred).
  • Eager to continue learning, improving, and experimenting on your own and as a part of a collaborative team.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • An extraordinary communicator, both in speech and in writing.
  • Upbeat with a genuine interest in the education of adolescents.
  • Creative, flexible, professional, and responsible, and have a strong work ethic.
