Description

Position Summary 

The General Laborer works directly with Floor Supervisors and teammates in a manufacturing setting to produce, assemble and construct packaging and shipping materials from corrugated and/or wood materials.


 Also, an additional $2.50/hr for attendance bonus and $0.50/hr for safety bonus, totaling an additional $3.00/hr if all bonuses are achieved! Apply today! 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Work on production line to create and assemble various shipping, void fill, dunnage, and other manufactured products used in the shipping industry
  • May be required to work with some equipment such as presses, laminators, and other production line equipment
  • Following production guidelines and specifications
  • Operating and maintaining production line equipment in a safe and effective manner
  • Maintain proper and consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when appropriate
  • Reporting any issues to the supervisor on duty
  • Performing other tasks as assigned

This job requires the ability to physically stand, bend/stoop, kneel, lift and reach and other physical tasks during an 8-10 hour shift within a manufacturing plant environment.  While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities are required for this job including close and distant vision. The noise level in the manufacturing plant can vary, noise reduction protective equipment may be required at times.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Previous experience working in a factory is beneficial
  • Experience operating manufacturing machinery
  • Must maintain a safe and tidy workspace
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs as needed
  • Physical dexterity
