Nestled within the picturesque expanse of DeBordieu Club, our property boasts two distinct yet equally inviting pools, each offering its unique charm and amenities for our members and guests.. The larger of the two pools resides majestically next to the Gazebo Bar and the esteemed Beach Club making it an ocean-front splendor for all to enjoy. 


The Pool Area Attendant is a vital role at DeBordieu Club during our busiest season of the year. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean pool area in order to create positive, leisurely stay and experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs cleaning of pool areas to include straightening of pool chairs and maintaining deck furniture in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Empties and cleans wastebaskets and transports trash to the disposal area.
  • Provides a safe, clean and sanitary pool area for members, guests, and colleagues.
  • Notifies management immediately of all known equipment and maintenance issues including malfunctions, safety hazards, security, unsafe practices, and procedures.
  • Acquires thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, and amenities offered by DeBordieu Club to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one’s ability.
  • Assists food service personnel in the collection of soiled dishes and waste products. throughout the pool area and transports to designated collection areas.
  • Attends pre-shift, training sessions, designated staff meetings and all other work-related activities as required.
  • Maintains high standard of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing proper and complete uniform and name tag.
  • Performs any other reasonable duties as required by management.
  • Maintains regular attendance as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the business.
  • Attends pre-shift: and designated staff meetings as well as training sessions.
  • Maintains high standard of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing proper and complete uniform and name tag.

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

  • Required to stand for long periods and walks, climbs stairs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, bends, stretches and twists or reaches. 
  • Carries and balances a tray to get food to the designated table.
  • Pushes, pulls or lifts up to 50 pounds. 
  • Continuous repetitive motions. 
  • Works in a hot, humid and noisy environment.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required. 
  • Minimum of one year work experience in a restaurant or food establishment.
  • Country Club or Golf Club experience is a plus but not required.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • CPR/AED and/or First Aid Certification a plus.

PT/FT Hourly, nonexempt, seasonal
