As the Sr. Packaging Technician in the Manufacturing department, you will support the Kula Bio team by operating and maintaining packaging equipment, supervising and mentoring junior team members, supporting product shipping activities, and keeping track of productivity targets and maintaining product quality in line with regulatory compliance and costumer needs. 


On a regular day, you will set up, operate and clean bottling and labeling equipment, support harvesting fermentation products under aseptic conditions, manage order fulfillment and inventory management, perform routine audits and support the shipping team to ensure uninterrupted and on-time shipment of products to customers.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, packaging, engineering, or related field with at least 5 years or more related experience.
  • 3 years of packaging experience with microbial-based products in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of bottling biologicals
  • Inventory management experience including the use of inventory management software, preferably an ERP system
  • Ability to perform area maintenance activities including organization, chemical handling, and chemical replenishment

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires the ability to sit, talk, and hear; occasionally walk and stand; regularly use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; constantly reach with hands and arms; occasionally lift and/or moves up to 50 pounds; regularly use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjust focus
  • Work in the manufacturing plant may require hearing protection
  • Working in the manufacturing plant will require the use of PPE

Salary Description
$28.85/hour - $33.66/hour
