Successful candidates will have a desire to work in a fast-paced environment based on trust and integrity and have an interest in a hands-on approach to business. Interested applicants should have a passion for manufacturing and innovation as well as a desire for a broad scope of daily responsibilities. In addition to these qualities, we are looking for someone with experience in the following responsibilities:

PRIMARY FOCUS

* Tooling Design and Development: Lead the design and development of complex, design intensive, non-traditional injection molds that are integrated with automation equipment. Will include collaborating with cross-functional teams globally, including product design, automated manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure the successful realization of product specifications and requirements. Experience with insert molding tool design and processing would be ideal, but not required.

* New Product Development: Work closely with product development teams to provide tooling expertise, including tool design reviews, material selection, and manufacturing feasibility assessments.

* Project Management: Manage and coach the tooling team (6-8 persons globally) comprising of tooling engineers and tool designers on projects, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, as well as managing some projects as the tooling engineer. Coordinate with suppliers and external partners (local and global) to ensure timely delivery of tooling components and services.

* Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within tooling while working with the automated manufacturing process, manufacturing, and new product development teams. Initiate and lead initiatives to enhance tooling capabilities, production efficiency, tooling costs, and overall process excellence.

* Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and guidance to launch engineers and manufacturing teams, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the teams. Help drive continuous improvement through standardization of tool designs, preventative maintenance, and mold processing.

* Hands on knowledge of mold tool design would be a plus for helping coach tool designers on best practices for tool design methods, templates, and standards, but is not required.

SECONDARY FOCUS

*Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction in the injection molding manufacturing processes. Implement best practices and innovative techniques to enhance overall productivity and product quality.

* Tooling Maintenance and Repair: Oversee tooling maintenance, repair, and modification activities to ensure the molds' longevity and consistent performance. Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to address tooling issues promptly and minimize production downtime.

OVERALL

* True team-player, as everyone at Innotec is involved in making big decisions.

* Give and take input on designs of machines, tools, parts, systems, processes in and out of your areas of expertise. Innotec has a culture where we expect sharing of ideas and constructive feedback when we see things that can be improved.

* Hands on & go see approach. At Innotec our desks are out on the manufacturing shop floor - even the owners of the company! If you are at your desk all day everyday, then you are not a fit. Some of the best design improvement reviews happen with a team out by the production line or standing around a tool open on a worktable.
