Litco International is looking to add a highly motivated Staff Accountant to our team based out of Vienna, Ohio. We are seeking a professional, organized, detail-oriented, self-starter and multi-tasker with a strong work ethic that enjoys being a team player.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and code vendor invoices into A/P system.
  • Enter invoices into A/R system and customer-based web portals; follow up on issues
  • Assist inside sales representatives with questions, issues, and collections from customers
  • Cash application, banks deposits and working with other staff areas on invoicing issues
  • Expense report review and working with team members to resolve any issues on reports
  • Maintain knowledge of a wide variety of prescribed accounting codes and classifications in order to select appropriate procedures for application to specific accounting transactions.
  • Monthly closing activities include account reconciliations, journal entries and various analysis.
  • Assist in maintaining subledgers to accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Prioritize and manage timeliness and flow of information from multiple departments and locations.
  • Maintain accurate customer and vendor records; sort, file, locate, reorganize and retrieve materials.
  • Provide support to Accounting Department personnel on multiple projects including A/R, Billing, A/P and Cash Disbursements.
  • Examine, code, verify, balance and reconcile various kinds of transactions, listings, invoices, vouchers and reports.
  • Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
  • Various projects as directed by Accounting Department Management focused on process improvements and workflow efficiencies

This job requires the ability to physically move around the office and manufacturing plant environment.  Ability to hear, speak and sit for up to 8 hours per day. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities are required for this job including close and distant vision.

The noise level in the office work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Noise levels when working in manufacturing plants may vary.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting related field required
  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing related field required
  • At least 2 years of inventory experience in manufacturing
  • Excellent knowledge of GAAP accounting
  • Must be able to prepare, review and understand all financial statements
  • Epicor/ERP experience is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and accounting software
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to receive and follow specific instructions and procedures given by multiple individuals
  • Must be able to maintain confidential records and information
