Marketing Coordinator - Full Time

Description

Under general supervision of the Director of Marketing and Guest Experience, assist the marketing department with marketing and advertising strategies to ensure strong online presence and brand alignment with Gas South District’s goals and objectives. Areas of concentration will include but are not limited to database management, social media engagement, online presence, public relations, and promotional execution.

  • Maintain campus website and social media marketing calendar. 
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Coordinator on day-to-day content creation for all GSD social accounts. 
  • Answer general questions, assist persons seeking general information and handle distribution of facility information through answering the concierge line, email, and social media.
  • Work directly with marketing and sales to manage Convention Center and Theater marketing, including but not limited to, overseeing the preparation of all marketing materials required and acting as a liaison between the marketing department and agencies used for marketing efforts. 
  • Assist in the activation and management of partnership deliverables to ensure quality standards and client expectations. This includes assisting with sponsorship fulfillment reports, sales materials, and partnership proposals.
  • Assist with tracking, reporting, and analyzing of digital performance to develop effective marketing strategies.
  • Maintain monthly marketing data for reporting purposes.
  • Provide administrative support for personnel involved in marketing, business development, and public relations.
  • Assist with media relations for events and any other necessary tasks on event days. 
  • Support other departments in the design and creation of marketing collateral and promotional materials.
  • Research and follow current music marketing trends, possible events, venue marketing efforts, and implement best practices in the day-to-day activation.
  • Assist in coordinating special in-house events, tradeshows, and public relations programs.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Skills and Abilities

Position requires the ability to:

  • Strong organizational, attention to detail, communications, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize work effectively and to fully execute work in a timely manner. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles, practices and terminology of marketing, advertising, social media, public relations programs, sales procedures, and presentations.
  • Experience with using social networking sites as marketing tools outside of general network functions. 
  • Web Content Management System (CMS) and Client Relationship Management (CRM) knowledge is desired, but not required.
  • Knowledge of social analytics (Meta Insights, bit.ly, Klout, etc.) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Canva for the creation of graphics and marketing materials is a plus. 
  • Operate personal computer using Windows and Microsoft Office software. 
  • Operate portable radio and standard office equipment.
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
  • Work as a team member as well as independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, guests, employees, and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to legally operate a motor vehicle in the state of Georgia.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school.
