Job Summary: The school clinical social worker is an essential part of our school operations. They will be responsible for providing the individual and group clinical supports as provided by a student’s IEP as well as drafting IEP goals and providing progress monitoring of those goals. The school social worker will also be required to keep regular notes of engagement with students. The school social worker will also work with the school staff in developing appropriate behavior strategies as well as other responsibilities as needed.

Additionally, the clinician will work cooperatively with other programs and clinicians in peer supervision and consultation when appropriate.


Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Maintain caseload of 22-25 weekly billable sessions;
  • Conduct intakes and biopsychosocial assessments with children and families;
  • Conduct individual and/or group therapy sessions with school students;
  • Conduct parent and/or family meetings as needed;
  • Assess crisis and risk scenarios, manage outcomes, follow through, and documentation for these situations;
  • Plan and conduct youth, parent, and/or family groups with program staff/clinicians;
  • Provide Clinical consultation to program staff & supervisors when appropriate;
  • Provide peer supervision/consultation to clinicians when appropriate;
  • Develop strengths-based Recovery Plans for each student based on their goals and learning styles;
  • Complete all paperwork and logging consistent with Clinical program requirements;
  • Participate in the Utilization Review process as needed;
  • Participate in supervision with Program Director and/or Clinical Supervisor;
  • Participate in daily team meetings with school staff to debrief and discuss best practices with students moving forward;
  • Develop/maintain productive relationships with collaborative partners (schools, police, probation, DCYF, Family Court, Agencies, etc.)
Requirements
  • LCSW- required
  • LICSW preferred
  • Experience with the juvenile justice population and system
  • Valid driver’s license and registered/inspected/insured vehicle
  • Bi-lingual, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Creole

Salary:  $53,000-$65,000
