The role of the Lead Coordinator is to inspire, empower and enrich the lives of students and families. Under the guidance of the Program Manager(s), the Lead Program Coordinator helps provide oversight and support to their designated program team. In addition, the Lead Coordinator will implement program components that lead to positive outcomes for children/youth that participate in the OYC program. 


Essential Duties 

  • Supervise assigned program coordinators and enrichment staff as needed
  • Oversee and support staff with coaching and guidance of the program fidelity 
  • Oversee coordination of outings/exposure trips
  • Supervise program schedules and staff rotations
  • Serve as one of the key contacts with OYC vendors, community partners, and/or volunteers facilitating program activities on site
  • Provide on-site support and oversight of curriculum-based activities
  • Assist with the training of new hires and continuing education of existing staff
  • Provide emergency response capability 24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • Oversee the completion of  incident reports are completed and submitted by program team within 24 hours to the Director of Program Operations and Chief Programs Officer
  • Assist with ensuring that programs meet all licensing, contractual, quality assurance and outcome standards and requirements
  • Facilitate staff communications and offer coaching and support
  • Serve as a resource for staff for problem-solving and crisis intervention
  • Participate in case staffing/team meetings as scheduled
  • Maintains the maximum number of participants enrolled in the OYC program and monitors regular attendance.
  • Provide case coordination services (information, plan referral and linkages) as needed
  • Develop and maintain student file according to OYC standards (assessments, Individual Success Plans, Progress Notes, etc.)
  • Coordinate services with other professionals and paraprofessionals
  • Ensure attendance and other data is submitted in a timely manner.
  • Act as a liaison with the schools that we service.
  • Chaperone after school outings and exposure trips to students as needed
  • Assist with the development and implementation of curriculum and special projects.
  • Actively participate in staff development workshops and trainings that are designed to contribute to personal and professional growth.

Program Fidelity

  • Assist Senior Program Manager(s) in maintaining program fidelity
  • Obtain DCF credentialing within the required timeframe
  • Oversee recruitment and maintain students enrolled in programming are 100% in compliance with OYC program requirements.

Requirements
  • High school diploma 
  • At least 4 to 6 years’ experience working with youth programs required
  • Basic computer skills / Microsoft Office 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation 
  • Must pass drug screening and Level 2 background fingerprint
