Operations and Quality Control Manager

As the Operations and Quality Control Manager at Freeman Boatworks LLC, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization. Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, minimize waste, and improve overall productivity.
  2. Quality Control: Establish and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure that all products meet the company's standards for performance, reliability, and safety. Develop and implement quality assurance protocols, inspections, and testing procedures.
  3. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization in manufacturing operations. Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and implement solutions to enhance operational performance.
  4. Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to source high-quality materials and optimize inventory management.
  5. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of operations and quality control professionals. Provide guidance, training, and support to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  6. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality management systems. Stay informed about relevant regulations and standards and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
  7. Continuous Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality metrics, and customer satisfaction. Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly.
Requirements

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.

- Proven experience in operations management, quality control, or manufacturing leadership roles, preferably in the marine or automotive industry.

- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).

- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

- Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and collaborate cross-functionally at all levels of the organization.

- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
