Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Possess the ability to manage day-to-day Baker duties and operations for the other bakers.
· Create and produce a variety of artisan breads and other baked goods.
· Review production schedule to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake and to assemble supplies and equipment needed for daily baking activities.
· Ability to grasp new concepts quickly. Generate fresh and innovative ideas to improve the bakery.
· Measure ingredients according to recipe, including mixing, shaping, baking, wrapping, and stocking products.
· Detect and ensure disposition of spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment, and/or other unusual conditions.
· Passionate and caring with the ability to train and teach subordinates.
· Provide insights, suggestions, and strategies to improve production and operation.
· Other projects and tasks may be delegated as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
· Passion to work in a Bakery with a minimum of two to five years of related experience.
· California Food Handlers Card is required for all foodservice employees who prepare, store, and serve food.
· A willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
· Ability to work effectively, communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers.
· Strong attention to detail with knowledge of weights, measurements, volume, and baking procedures.
