Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Ability to supervise and maintain efficient and effective deli and bakery departments.
· Demonstration of positive leadership style with an enthusiastic, positive, committed, and flexible attitude. Promote the importance and benefit of effective teamwork.
· Maintain positive employee relations through respectful, open and effective two-way communication at the individual and team levels.
· Ability to communicate with guests and employees in a clear speaking voice, listen to and understand. Respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information.
· Continually improve and develop exciting bakery programs and spend 85% of time in the FOH bakery sales floor.
· Good organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work effectively within a sometimes-pressurized environment.
· Ability to effectively manage employee schedules and overtime.
· Ensures all bakery sales employees are handling their assigned duties including but not limited to; providing superior customer service, bakery presentation, quality products, rotating baked goods, cleans bakery and cases.
· Other projects and tasks may be delegated as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
· Minimum three years as a supervisor/manager.
· Previous experience in catering, bakery, or food environment preferred.
· Knowledge of Posi Touch and POS systems preferred.
· Bilingual-English/Spanish skills helpful, but not required.
· Dedication to excellent food quality and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and safe food handling practices. California Food Handers card is required for all food service employees who prepare, store, and serve food.
· A willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
