Description

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As National Retail Sales Manager, you will be a key player in driving revenue growth by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our retail clients. You will successfully cultivate leads and form partnerships with the goal of building robust omni channel accounts that carry multiple skus and are reordering on a regular basis. Expanding distribution into pet specialty is also expected. 

IMPACT DELIVERABLES

  • Achieve weekly, monthly, and yearly sales targets through effective execution of sales and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and implement a territory action plan utilizing detailed data analysis, adjusting sales approaches based on interactions and outcomes.
  • Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales
  • Expand and enhance the retail sales channel by fostering retail partnerships.
  • Formulate pricing and discount strategies tailored to the retail channel.
  • Manage product assortments and exclusive offerings for each customer/chain.
  • Target larger retail groups with 100+ locations.
  • Establish distribution relationships with pet specialty distributors.
  • Recommend marketing strategies to target a specific region or demographic
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop proactive and innovative merchandising solutions that amplify our product line within retailers.
  • Concentrate on omni channel growth over e-commerce channel development.
  • Gather customer feedback and collaborate with the UK team on New Product Development (NPD).
  • Attend necessary tradeshows and events.
Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Demonstrated experience in building retail partnerships, ideally within the pet industry.
  • Proficiency in presentation, persuasion, and negotiation.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial information and devise effective pricing strategies.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a proven history of meeting or surpassing sales targets.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to travel to customer events and clinics
  • Computer/software proficiency – including Outlook, HubSpot, Salesforce
