Group Lead

Job Summary

The Group Lead is responsible for complete knowledge and work flow of all assigned task functions within their designated area.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the area of the department to which he/she is assigned.
  • Assists the Leadperson in training of employees.
  • Eliminates non-productive efforts with equipment and personnel.
  • Assists in assuring proper observation of company policies.
  • Assists in eliminating waste of all types including labor and material.
  • Communicates constantly with peers and subordinates to achieve daily goals.
  • Assists in building employee morale.
  • Assists in maintaining and improving methods and equipment.
  • Cleans and maintains tools and equipment.
  • Works with Leadperson to maximize productivity.
  • Ensures all areal goals are achieved.
  • Participates and contributes to a Work Team environment and follows Quality Control checks.
  • Follows all Safety Rules and contributes to a safe work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Training or Experience

  • High School education or up to one-month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Shop Environment

Employees must be able to cope with climates; endure heat and cold conditions in the shop. Fast paced workloads and high noise levels are normal. Paint fumes and exposure to chemicals associated with an industrial paint department may be present. Personal Protective Equipment as required by OSHA will be provided by the Company.
