Human Resources Generalist Description

  

Responsible for Human Resources functions including recruiting, career branding for Yamato Corporation’s North American offices in Grafton, WI & Southern California as well as remote employees. Assists with special projects and serves as back-up to HR Manager.


Recruiting

· Conducts hiring process adhering to EEOC, Affirmative Action and Company diversity goals.

· Conducts proactive candidate sourcing to build a strong pipeline.

· Posts roles, conducts & coordinates interview process.

· Creates new and updates existing job descriptions with hiring managers.

· Creates and updates interview guides as needed. 

· Attends career fairs. 

· Assists with developing an internship program for high school and college students for purposes of recruitment, employee retention, career growth and development.


Training & Development 

· Conducts New Employee Orientation in partnership with HR Manager.

· Works with management to create strong onboarding plans for all new hires and assists in scheduling employee meetings.

· Provides training and guidance to management regarding effective and legal interview practices. 


 Benefits Administration

· Assists with projects including open enrollment and benefits renewal.

· Keeps Employee Navigator benefits information current.


Human Resources Administration

· Helps in maintaining accurate and complete employee records.

· Complies with legal requirements by staying current on existing, new & pending legislation.

· Assists with creating policy and updates policy/handbook as needed.

  

Special Projects

· Assists with special company events & meetings, 401(k) investment & annual enrollment education sessions & holiday parties.

· Company events to be planned quarterly. 



Requirements

  

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or similar field required.
  2. Three to five years recruiting experience including proactive and effective candidate sourcing required. 
  3. Two to three years Human Resources Generalist experience preferred with exposure to employment law. 
  4. Strong interpersonal communication skills, highly organized, self-driven.
  5. Professionalism, accuracy, and timeliness are key, as well as ability to prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment.
  6. The ability to keep information confidential is critical. 
Salary Description
$55,000-$65,000 depending on experience
