Description
As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining commercial and residential irrigation systems. This requires a working knowledge of evaluating and repairing the pipe, valves, & wiring associated with the irrigation system. You must be able to communicate with customers and have a great attitude to maintain our trust, service, integrity, & customer service satisfaction. As an?Irrigation Technician?at Schill Grounds Management, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:
- Repair all aspects of an underground irrigation system
- Install, operate, & program all lawn irrigation controllers
- Troubleshoot and repair any irrigation issues, including wiring, leaks, and general maintenance
- Must demonstrate exceptional customer service & communication skills
- Must maintain a professional appearance & attitude

Physical Demands
- Employee will work in both an office and field environment; travel from site to site in various weather conditions; including rain, snow, sun, extreme heat, or cold.
- Employee could be required to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time; operate motorized vehicles
- Expected hours during the landscape season requiring flexibility to work between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm, including Saturdays, as needed.
- Potential work hours during the snow season include nighttime, weekends, and holidays to participate in snow removal activities.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with record acceptable to meet fleet insurance requirements
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Experience in the irrigation field is a must
- Good Time Management Skills
