Description

QRC Technologies is actively seeking a motivated Business Intern to be part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to build and design the next generation of QRC’s software defined radio products. The individual will conduct market research and analysis, build a business plan, and produce progress reports and presentations. The individual will be teamed with other interns from various Computer Science and Engineering disciplines to create the prototype of a product that has the potential to impact our customer base. The individual should be able to take instruction, but also work unsupervised when required. Depending on the candidate selected, there are also opportunities to gain project and product management experience during this internship.


QRC’s goal is to provide a meaningful learning experience for the intern and champion activities that will foster innovation in our products at QRC. The individual will experience the triumphs and challenges of working on a fast-paced IPT conducting activities such as requirements definition and design reviews.   

Essential Duties:

  • Work closely with a small, multidisciplinary integrated product team to identify requirements, design a prototype, conduct design reviews, and coordinate progress presentations to a board of stakeholders
  • Work closely with team members to build a task list and work plan that assigns team members to tasks
  • Work closely with team members to track progress
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis through desktop research
  • Compile and present data and findings to team members and senior staff
  • Build a business plan for the product identified by the team, to include identifying potential underserved market needs


Requirements
  • Rising Junior or Senior working towards a business administration degree or similar  
  • Student pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration is desired
  • Highly organized, process driven, detail-oriented and a team player
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and research skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Acumen with search engines, web analytics, and business research tools 
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office
  • Due to Federal Industrial Security requirements proof of US citizenship is required
