Job Overview:


The Marketing and Communications Officer will work closely with Jordan Valley’s leadership team and internal departments to develop and implement strategic marketing and communication plans for external and internal audiences to meet growth and other program objectives in alignment with the mission of Jordan Valley Community Health Center.  


Duties:

  • Study the objectives, mission, and needs of the organization to develop integrated marketing and communications strategies that will influence opinion, promote ideas and services, and prompt desired growth/action/outcomes.
  • Lead efforts to operationally align and maximize content for JVCHC communications channels and marketing activities for internal and external audiences to advance the organization’s mission and its strategic objectives. 
  • Set, track and measure appropriate key marketing and communications performance indicators and other metrics to demonstrate accountability and effectiveness. 
  • Conduct research and monitor patient satisfaction; utilize data in coordination with leadership to inform marketing and communications plans.
  • Coordinate all information related to the production and development of patient information and other organizational collateral materials for both internal and external audiences.
  • Assist with legislative affairs of the program locally, as well as providing support related to federal and state policy.
  • Assist administration as needed with special events and projects which have a community relations aspect. 
  • Manage paid advertising programs as required to promote programs; may include outsourcing with external marketing and advertising professionals. 
  • Provide supervision, direction, and leadership to departmental team. 
  • Serve as primary contact/media relations lead and spokesperson (when appropriate) for media outlets throughout the community; upon request, provide support and guidance to other Jordan Valley staff to interact with media, to highlight staff expertise and share strategic information.
  • Issue news releases and develop story pitches for targeted media to advance earned media objectives.
  • Develop a working budget for all activities related to the information component of the program.

Requirements


Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree.
  •  5+ years of previous marketing and communications work experience, healthcare industry.
