About the Role: Cultivate, Maintain, and Inspire

As a Groundskeeper, you’ll be essential in ensuring our pristine golf course and landscapes remain picture-perfect. Working under the guidance of the superintendent and assistant superintendents, you’ll bring beauty and precision to every corner of our course. This full-time position is ideal for self-motivated individuals who thrive in outdoor environments, relish hands-on work, and take pride in keeping Tampa’s premier club looking its best.

Your Day-to-Day (Essential Duties):

· Maintain turf areas with precision mowing greens, tees, bunker faces, and steep banks.

· Trim, weed, and edge landscape beds; rake bunkers to perfection.

· Prune trees, shrubs, and hedges using professional equipment.

· Operate golf course vehicles and motorized landscaping tools, such as mowers, blowers, tractors, and chainsaws.

· Perform tasks to care for turf, including mulching, aerating, removing thatch, and edging flower beds.

· Assist with exciting project work laying sod, planting greens, grading soil, and constructing new tees and fairways.

· Handle equipment maintenance, cleaning, fueling, and basic repairs.

· Keep the grounds litter-free and impeccably tidy.

· Follow safety protocols, use personal protective gear, and contribute to a clean and organized work environment.

Physical Demands:

· Lift and move objects up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physically strenuous tasks such as weed-eating, mowing, and digging.

· Work outdoors year-round, enduring Florida’s heat and humidity in the summer and cooler conditions in the winter.

· Engage in repetitive motions, including kneeling, bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods.

What You Bring to the Team (Minimum Qualifications):

· Must be at least 18 years old (meeting Florida labor law requirements for equipment operation).

· High school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of experience or training as a groundskeeper or landscaper or a comparable combination of education and experience.

· Valid driver’s license for operating golf course vehicles.

· Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to stay organized and efficient.

Preferred Skills:

· Three years of experience as a golf course landscaper or maintenance groundskeeper.

· A knack for recognizing quality and ensuring facilities look their absolute best.
