Workdays: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.(On-call rotation to include weekends)
Location: 1115 Mission Road, San Antonio, TX 78210


Mission:

Seton Home works to break the cycle of abuse and poverty by providing a caring home, education, and support services necessary to transform the lives of pregnant and parenting teen mothers and their children.


Summary:

The Clinician will be responsible for individual, family, and group therapy. The Clinician will conduct assessments and is responsible for the development and implementation of therapeutic treatment plans. The Clinician will offer recommendations for client’s permanency planning. The Clinician is directly supervised by the Program Director or designee and be on-call for clients and staff. Maintains necessary client records, provides liaison with referral sources and providers. The Clinician will assist in discharge planning and other duties as assigned. The Clinician will follow all Seton Home policies regarding reporting abuse and neglect.


Position Responsibilities:

  • *Conduct intake interviews and assess client mental health.
  • *Prepare goal-oriented treatment plans, diagnostic assessments, service plans, safety plans, POS, clinical notes, and progress reports.
  • *Facilitate client groups on specific issues.
  • Provide case consultations and/or crisis interventions.
  • *Maintain therapeutic services within Seton Home and funding source guidelines.
  • Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
  • Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral is mandatory.
  • Every employee is required to take a solution-oriented approach in their interactions and undertakings, as well as being a team member that promotes collaboration and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the organization.
  • As a Seton Home employee, attendance and successful completion of a 10-day New Employee Orientation is mandated for the position. The inability to meet this requirement will conclude employment with the Agency.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director, Senior Director or Vice President.

Requirements


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education
    • Master’s degree in social work with clinical experience in the program.
    • or Master’s degree in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which direct clinical experience is a program requirement.
  • Experience
    • Preferred 2 years’ experience of progressive employment experience within a social service or child-care agency.
    • Minimum experience within a social service or child-care agency.
  • License and Credentials
    • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure.
    • Reliable transportation.
    • Valid driver license.
    • Valid vehicle insurance.
  • Submit to a state and federal background check, Child abuse and neglect registry check, and Tuberculosis screening.
  • Be physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills:

  • Working knowledge of TDFPS Minimum Standards, and Office of Refugee Resettlement- Division of Unaccompanied Children's Services National Care Standards.
  • Possess therapeutic sensitivity to the service population cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
  • Experience with computer software and MS Office (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneDrive).
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
  • Must have good written and verbal skills.
  • Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • *Bilingual: Fluent in English/Spanish with regards to reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension of the spoken language.
