General Summary or Position Purpose: 

The College Access Program Associate is the organizational curriculum development and delivery expert. This role’s primary responsibilities are to create a comprehensive catalog of college-access curriculum lessons and facilitate the delivery of those lessons. Delivery of college access program lessons will occur through providing direct services to students, facilitating the delivery of lessons by additional staff members, or providing virtual lessons. This role will also collect, maintain, and report data about program outcomes. This role will support multiple CCSD high school campuses and the indivudal in this role will regularly travel between campuses served.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 


Curriculum Development

  • Possess a deep understanding of CCSD policies and procedures and students graduation requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, modify, and implement a comprehensive college access program curriculum and lessons tailored for 9th-12th grade students, ensuring alignment with program goals, college access, and educational standards across all CCSD partnership schools. 
  • Deliver engaging, educational, and informative lessons across partner campuses, utilizing effective instructional strategies to maximize student participation and comprehension.
  • Develop, establish, and maintain a centralized location for storing 9th-12th grade college access curriculum materials and resources, ensuring accessibility and organization for staff, counselors, students, and community stakeholders.
  • Work with College Counselors to develop and maintain a schedule of lessons and workshops across campuses.
  • Implement a comprehensive system for organizing, scheduling, and executing College Access Program lessons, workshops, and presentations across all CCSD partnership schools. 

Program Assessment 

  • Develop, distribute, and maintain, pre- and post-lesson assessments to track curriculum efficacy and program engagement.
  • Analyze College Access Program data to create comprehensive reports to track program outcomes.
  • Create reports to effectively share assessment findings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee and maintain database tracking pre- and post-assessment data ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
  • Conduct regular updates and implement quality control measures to rectify discrepancies and maintain data integrity.

Program Support

  • Serve as primary contact for College Access Programming.
  • Facilitate communication among stakeholders and additional Fulfillment Fundamentals team members pertaining to program delivery, data collection, and program outcomes. 
  • Collaborate on cross-departmental initiatives for continuous programming improvement. 
  • Provide weekly, or as-needed workshops or college advising at CCSD Family Support Center. 
  • Design, arrange, and execute educational sessions and presentations for parents, families, and students on various topics such as FAFSA, college applications, and scholarships, as requested by school, staff, or community leaders.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Experience in curriculum and program development.
  • Experience teaching in a classroom or small group setting. 
  • Student-centered learning approach to facilitation and activities.
  • Dynamic and effective teaching and facilitation skills
  • Experience with family and community engagement programming
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines. 
  • A collaborative and flexible mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, working with colleagues to standardize processes and enhance program quality. 
  • Prior experience working in college access programs, educational outreach, or student advising. 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and empower team members. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, families, and stakeholders. 
  • Knowledge of college admissions processes, financial aid options, and higher education resources. 
  • Proficiency in data management and analysis, with experience using software applications for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Ability to build relationships with CCSD      partners and colleagues

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in education curriculum and instruction, education, counseling, social work or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years teaching experience including experience in lesson planning and delivery.
  • Experience with educational standards/practices, curriculum design principles, and assessment practices.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A current Nevada state-issued Driver’s License, current automobile insurance coverage and current automobile registration.
