SUMMARY: Provide support to the events department in food preparation and dishware washing. Hours are variable dependent on business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Food Preparation Responsibilities
Participate in the food preparation in accordance with accepted standards of quality.
Assist in plating for banquet functions and storing food requisitions.
Contributes to a positive team environment by helping coworkers with tasks and being flexible to assist other departments as needed.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
Dishware washing Responsibilities
Dish machine is maintained throughout the shift.
Washes and stores properly all dishes, utensils, pots and pans.
Compartment sinks are:
filled with soapy water, b) empty and sanitized for rinsing, c) filled with sanitize water.
Maintains organization of all shelving for plates and equipment.
Keep garbage and recycling bins organized and emptied as needed.
Keeps floor swept and free of debris.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
Ability to problem-solve and achieve good solutions to daily challenges
Must be focused on customer service, both externally and internally
Driven to perform at the highest level
Commitment to excellence and acute attention to detail
Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
Stand on feet for long periods of time
Perform repetitive motion activities
Physically able to occasionally lift 30-40 lbs.
Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Busy and distractive open office/kitchen atmosphere
Kitchen can be hot and slippery
Ability to work with regular distraction
