This position possesses a keen attention to detail, can juggle multiple tasks on an ongoing basis and possesses excellent analytical skills. The Associate Financial Analyst assists in preparing contribution modeling and monthly claims dashboards. This person is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of data from clients and carriers and works in conjunction with the Financial Analytics team.

In this role, you will contribute to the team by:

  • Acquiring data from carrier resources for standard client reporting, ad-hoc analysis, and forecasting
  • Supporting the development of mid-year renewal projections
  • Populating monthly claims dashboards for self-funded and fully insured clients
  • Aggregating benefits benchmarking information to assist with client benefits decision making
  • Extracting utilization and clinical data to support strategy development from data warehouse
  • Preparing employee and employer cost modeling
  • Gathering data from multiple sources, reviewing for accuracy, and formatting for client and team use
  • Performing other duties and special projects as assigned

Required

  • Advanced Excel Proficiency (Macros, Power Query, Complex Formulas, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree, with prior experience considered in lieu of a diploma
  • Indiana Health, Life, and Disability license or the ability to obtain the license within 3 months of employment
  • Experience manipulating data and creating reports in tools like Tableau or PowerBI
  • Excellent computer, software and office machine skills and knowledge specifically with Microsoft products (Excel) and Tableau. Must have the ability to collect, analyze and interpret data from various sources in order to solve client problems
