Basic Function
The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will work on multiple manufacturing assignments aimed at improving quality and efficiency of both the disposable and hardware manufacturing. Accountabilities include manufacturing documentation, process flows, inventory control, process and test development and fixturing. This position is also responsible for complying with the company’s quality system requirements and carrying out responsibilities as outlined in the environmental, health, and safety policies.
Responsibilities
· Review processes and improve documentation to drive efficiency and improve quality outcomes.
• Accomplish assigned tasks that stem from project initiatives such as Shaft Manufacturing.
• Work with cross functional team members to assure smooth implementation of changes.
• Support the day to day manufacturing investigating and solving problems.
• Introduce improvements to current processes and documents including MP’s, Travelers, and BOM structures in FishBowl.
Qualifications
· Senior level college student pursuing degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Systems Engineering
· Strong problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
· Light work, exerting up to 20 lbs. of force or less.
· Requires clarity of vision at 20 inches or less (near vision) and ability to identify/distinguish colors.
· Steady work pace, multiple priorities, and deadlines.
