Salary Range:$80,000.00 To 100,000.00 Annually
The Assistant Project Manager will work with the Project Executive and/or Project Manager in our NY office on assigned projects executing and managing designated tasks and responsibilities while becoming familiar with the fundamentals of general commercial/industrial/institutional construction management practices. Travel to the geographic regions serviced by CM&B is an expected and required component of the Assistant Project Manager’s role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop comprehension of project scope/project requirements, site standards and protocols, project resources, construction progress, design issues and impact of scope changes
- Support CM&B project team as directed – superintendents, field staff, project coordinators, administration, and accounting
- Weekly construction meetings on site, including leadership and weekly meeting documentation
- Site-specific pre-activity conferences (pre-site work, concrete, masonry, structural steel, roofing, etc.)
- Pursue and secure submittals, shop drawings, samples and supplier data as directed
- Preparation of subcontracts and purchase orders, including scope development, subcontractor/material supplier buy strategies and negotiations, subcontract preparation and all accountability for required subcontractor deliverables (insurances, supplier/vendor listings, joint check agreements, etc.)
- Manage all submittals and RFIs through Procore
- Draft Owner change order requests/approvals, including additional work authorizations and timely/complete/vetted documentation
- Participate in project close-out, including timely punch list completion, preparation of Owner’s manuals and as-builts
- Develop an understanding of CM&B’s safety program, including participation in field operations safety inspection check list

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
- SST-62 hrs (can be completed upon hire)
- 1-5 years experience as Assistant Project Manager in Construction industry
- valid driver’s license
- Tech savvy with experience in Procore, MS Project, Timberscan, Blue Beam and MS Outlook a plus
- Strong work ethic with a keen attention to detail and follow through
- Professional communication skills, ability to build and maintain relationships.
