Marina Technician

Victoria Harbour Marina on Lake Allatoona is looking for a Maintenance Technician.   The ideal candidate is skilled in looking at a property and noticing what tasks need to be completed and can prioritize them accordingly. Position requires Monday through Friday work 8am-4:30pm.  Weekend work could be required in the event of an emergency. 


- Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing systems, advanced carpentry, HVAC, etc.  

- Ability to approach mechanical challenges from a logical perspective.

- Make repairs as assigned while working efficiently with strong attention to detail.

- Maintain a clean and safe working environment and property.

- Always maintain all equipment in top condition to ensure that safety standards are met and to prolong equipment life.

- Consistently assess work areas for safety concerns. Raise all concerns to the appropriate individual and follow-up to ensure that all are resolved.

- Skill in the proper and safe use of all tools, materials, chemicals, and products relating to the department.

- Strong verbal and written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to utilize these skills to maintain positive relations with Team Members and Guests.

Requirements

  

- Working inside as well as outdoors in all weather conditions. Aspects of position will require working in extreme temperatures and varying weather elements. 

-Willingness to learn and properly complete a task.  

-Working in small, confined areas maybe required.

-Physical activities include walking, talking, seeing, hearing, reaching, holding, grasping, feeling, stooping, bending, crawling, stretching, lifting, and kneeling.

- Considerable dexterity of hands, fingers, and wrists is required.

- Ability to walk and stand for long periods is required.

- Ability to lift and carry 50-100 pounds.

- Ability to use body members, hand tools or other devices to lift, hold and carry materials

- Ability to swim

Salary Description
15.00 to 17.00
