Description

Overview: The Westminster Bookstore is looking to hire a detail and process-oriented person who is

passionate about the role of books in the life and health of the church and family. The Bookstore

Operations Assistant will report to the Associate Director of Operations and will assist with the

maintenance and execution of daily operations for the bookstore as well as Storyglory Kids, a book fair

initiative in partnership with the bookstore.


Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Data Entry
  2. Assisting with the accounts payable process by accurately submitting invoices and parsing out invoice details
  3. Using in-house applications for adding products to our ecommerce and inventory systems while ensuring accurate and robust metadata is assigned to each product
  4. Book fair preparations
  5. Assist with the packaging and organization of book fair supplies and shipments at the WTS campus.
  6. Tracking the progress of incoming inventory orders and following up with Vendors as needed
  7. Work with various other team members as needed in order to assist Bookstore processes
  8. Attend bookstore team meetings (Remotely through zoom)
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Westminster Bookstore’s resources
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree; candidates with seminary education preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of service to others

This is a part-time position, 20 hrs/wk

Tech-savvy. We rely heavily on software to get our work done. You don’t need to know how to code, but you need to know your way around a computer and be able to quickly learn new systems.

This is a hybrid position with occasional on-site duties required.

Must have a fast, reliable computer that can be used for work. Mac preferred.
